ADIMOS Introduces software solution for viewing multimedia PC content on the Television

-Adimos’ Wireless Video Player Features Easy Set Up
and Supports All Major Media Formats

Las Vegas, Nev. – January 8, 2005 – Adimos, a leading provider of semiconductors for wireless home networking, introduced the Wireless Video Player (WVP 1.0) software solution for real-time transmission of multimedia content from the PC-to-TV, its latest solution for wireless connectivity in the home, during the Consumer Electronics Show today in Las Vegas.

With simple, do-it-yourself set-up, Adimos WVP PC software allows consumers to view their favorite MPEG, DivX and other Internet movie files on their TVs. Full length downloaded movies can now be transmitted from a computer disk and delivered wirelessly to the TV, without the need for any special hardware.

The system transmits audio and video to a WVM (Wireless Video Module) enabled TV from a PC equipped with a standard 802.11a WLAN communication card. Scaling to 480p and 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratio conversions is supported as are all MPEG1 layers for audio, including MP3.

The WVP is designed to work with any TV incorporating an Adimos Wireless Video Module and any PC running Windows XP or Windows 2000 SP3 OS that is equipped with a WLAN communication card. The media stream is encrypted to assure privacy and security using WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) protocol. Adimos’ WVP software installation disc is included by OEMs who supply wireless TV's or the wireless multimedia adapters
