ADIMOS’ NEW ADM200 LEADS THE WAY WITH MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS FOR MULTI-STREAM WIRELESS VIDEO DISTRIBUTION

Adimos' enables OEMs to rapidly deploy multi-stream, multi-standard wireless solutions for LCD TVs, Plasma display, set-top boxes, IPTV, and PMP devices

LAS VEGAS, NV, CES SHOW, January 6, 2006 – Adimos, a leading provider of wireless multimedia processor solutions, announced today a new processor, ADM200, and reference design boards that enable consumer electronics manufacturers to rapidly deploy next-generation wireless LCD TVs, set-top boxes, DVD players/recorders, media servers, and PMP devices that can all wirelessly connect with each other throughout the home. The advanced ADM200 technology offers high performance, reduced power, and easy of use with significant picture quality advantages over competitors. The new Adimos processor will also support easy migration to 802.11n, H.264 and UWB standards. Adimos’ multi-stream, codec-independent capabilities will be showcased at the CES Show January 5-8 in the Las Vegas Hilton Suite # 2660.

Adimos’ wireless connectivity solutions have already been chosen by a number of the leading consumer electronics manufacturers throughout the world including Toshiba, Thomson, , Gigafast, IDX, Beko Electronics A.S., Onkyo, Hisense, Hannspree and Konka.. These companies chose Adimos’ solutions for their high performance resulting in unmatched picture quality, signal range, and outstanding customer support. These next generation wireless home entertainment products are expected to ship by Q1 2006.

“After doing an extensive study on the multiprocessor wireless alternatives, we chose to work with Adimos because of the performance and high quality it provides our customers who wish to use our innovative TVs in other rooms in the house,” said Michael Amkreutz, Vice President of Marketing at Hannspree. “The difference in performance was significant enough for us to seriously consider using Adimos in other product lines in the near future.”

“The performance and range of the Adimos ADM200 was the hands down winner for our next generation LCD TV,” said Shilei Wang, General Manager of Hisense, which holds 15% of the LCD TV market in China. “Consumers are sophisticated and understand who has the highest quality picture. If you do not choose the clear leader, your sales will reflect your choice. Adimos gives us superior picture quality, a clear design path, and price performance points that gives us a competitive advantage.”

“Our long standing relationship with Adimos has been mutually beneficial in increasing our business opportunities” said Jay Cheng, CEO for Gigafast, based in Tawian. “The reference design enabled us to quickly embed the Adimos ADM200 processor in our Gigafast TV products that are sold in Best Buy, MicroCenter, and FutureShop stores in Canada and the US. “The high performance, signal range and quality of picture that Adimos provides increases the value of our brand, and further positions us as a manufacturer of high-end home entertainment products in the retail channels.”

“Beko’s maintains a strong leadership position in the European consumer electronics market because of our unwavering commitment to providing customers with the most advanced technology,” said Dr. Tibet Mimaroglu, CTO of Beko. “The picture quality provided by the Adimos processor was far superior to any other solution we evaluated. The production-ready reference design board enabled us to implement this technology into our next-generation LCD TVs in two weeks. By providing a superior technology and a significant time-to-market advantage, Adimos’ has proven their value in helping maintain our market position. We look forward to integrating Adimos’ technology into additional product lines.”

Adimos’ ADM200 utilizes an optimized logic architecture and patented TrueVideoQoS technology that delivers the best video quality available with reduced power consumption. It employs a range of processing functions to realize superior video results using standard WLAN chipsets. The unique approach, dubbed Best Picture™ technology, results in seamless wireless transmit and receive capabilities between multimedia sources such as DVD players, set-top boxes, PMP, Tivo media servers and display devices such as a flat panel LCD TVs, High Definition TVs, Plasma display, and handheld video-enabled devices. The ADM200 can be embedded into home entertainment products, or used in stand-alone transmit and receive applications, such as in an after market box pair..

The ADM200 provides all the functions necessary for implementing full wireless multimedia solutions. It is designed to work with standard MPEG-2 video encoder/decoders and 802.11a/b/g wireless chipsets, and will easily migrate to the emerging 802.11n, H.264 and UWB standards once they are ratified. ADM200-based designs accept analog input from any standard video source, and output data packets that can be transported via standard wireless chipset. The ADM200 with integrated software enables both transmit and receive functions, dynamically adapting the wireless connection to changing environmental conditions. It provides secure encryption and copy protection, and offers enhanced user features such as seamless IR remote control. All processing, control, security and QoS functions required to deliver high quality video over a wireless channel are performed by the ADM200. The ADM200 has provisions for video and audio input/output, IR input/output, I2C and UART for control and GPIO interfaces to complete the solution. The video and audio interfaces serve for connecting sources and displays while the IR interface enables remote control operation. The I2C and UART interfaces enable communication between the ADM200 and other system CPUs.

"Three years ago Adimos started to work on the wireless video technology and now we are seeing the fruits of that hard work and focus,” said George Haber, CEO of Adimos. “We learned a lot from our first generation products and incorporated many customer recommendations into the second generation solutions shipping today Adimos’ is committed to enabling OEMs and ODMs to get to market first with the most advanced technology. We are excited at the number of large, brand name manufacturers who are embedding our processor into their solutions, and expect to attract even more major players in the near future.”
